Why SKY - Stacy Poole

Having 2 children dropped off every Summer at Sky Ranch in Van is both rewarding and challenging.

This year I really saw the reward in trusting God’s provision and how He uses SkyRanch to provide. One child ran into the cabin almost without a good/bye, while the other child had a more emotional good-bye.

Needless to say a parent’s heart was concerned. “Would he be ok? Would the counselors know how to make him happy? Am I doing the right thing?” This was not his first year at camp, but he was without a friend from home and had gotten sick last year so was a bit apprehensive.

Headed home after drop off on Sunday we prayed for his counselors, his week, and his heart. God heard. He provided him what he described as “the best counselors I have ever had!”. I asked him what he felt like he had taken away from camp this week. He said “Even when I am afraid not to let fear stop me, God is with me!”

That was my exact prayer for him!! We are so grateful to Sky Ranch for training your staff so well, for loving on my children, and pouring the love of Christ into them!! Praying that God continues to use Sky Ranch to mold children’s hearts. We love Sky Ranch!
