Your Pre-Camp Checklist

Hello SkyMoms! Summer Camp Season is off to an amazing start!! First session of camp is underway!! Woohoo! It was such an incredible honor to meet so many of you on Sunday during registration! Our SkyMoms team will be set up all summer during Sunday registration! After you’ve settled your kiddos into their cabins, please stop and say hello as you are dropping off medications and mail in the Legacy Building. We would love to meet you!
As some kids are already out for the summer, others are finishing up their last few days at school, many moms are just beginning preparations for camp and might be wondering how to get ready for overnight camp. The Sky Ranch website, skyranch.org is an amazing resource as you prepare for your child’s week at camp! Go to the “Summer Prep” section to find all the information below plus so much more! Here are some highlights and tips to get you started!
PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST

• Explore the Summer Prep section at skyranch.org. This is where you can find Theme Nights, Packing Lists, and more!
• Log into your account at SkyRanch.org/Register to:
• Confirm your account is paid in full
• Sign up for additional activities under Reservations
• Complete your Health Form and sign Terms & Conditions
• Confirm your Roommate Requests
• All Requests must have an ACCEPTED status at least 14 days before arrival
• Cannot accommodate groups larger than four
• Pre-Order your awesome Camper Tee, Snack Packs, and SkyPacks
• Add funds to your Store Card
• Arrange for Airport Transportation, if needed
• Multi-Week Camper? Add Laundry Service
2 Weeks Before Camp
• Watch the mail for your cabin assignment letter
• Be sure you have everything you need on the packing list*
• Prepare camper mail/care packages
1 Week Before Camp
• Load up your gear for camp
• Don't forget your theme night* clothes
• Remember required camper medication must be in a labeled prescription bottle. Learn more about medication, lice protocol, and health policies here
Day of Camp
• Fill out your luggage tags and attach them to your trunk/luggage
• Decorate your car!
• Bring your driver's license - it's required!
• Don't forget your camper mail/care packages
• Head to your favorite place on earth! View Map
• Subscribe to the Parent Camp Podcast in iTunes or Google Play and listen to the first episode with your campers
• Grab a cookie and watch us celebrate YOU!
During Camp
• Send your camper emails and view photos from camp each day
• Listen to the daily podcasts on Sky Ranch Parent Camp to learn more about what your camper is up to!

What to Bring to Summer Camp

Required Items:
Clothing
T-shirts/tops (no strapless)
Blue jeans/long pants
Shorts (modest length please)
Raincoat/poncho*
Lightweight jacket/fleece
Swimsuit (one-piece only)
Pair of clothes to get dirty
Night event costumes
White t-shirt to tie-dye*
Socks
Tennis shoes (2 pair)
Water shoes* or old sneakers
Baseball cap/hat*
Twin bed sheets/blankets/sleeping bag
Pillow & pillow case
Towels (shower & beach)
Toiletries (shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc)*
Water bottle*

Optional Extras
Disposable cameras* Flashlight*
Sunscreen* Laundry bag*
Insect repellent Stationery/stamps* (Pre-addressed please)
Bible/journal/pens* Care packages**
Wash cloth

* For your convenience, these items are available for purchase at the Corner Store, located in the Legacy Center.
** Care packages - One of the highlights of the Sky Ranch camping experience is receiving mail or care packages from friends and family. Sky Ranch offers the option to purchase pre-made Sky Packs for cabin delivery or you are welcome to bring your own care packages. Learn more about care packages on the Pre-Camp Checklist page.

Helpful Hints
• Please pack using a large suitcase or trunk (no larger than 40Lx37Wx16H)
• Each evening we have a themed night event and encourage your campers to dress up and get in "costume!" The themes can be found here.
• Don't buy a lot of new clothing - this is camp, and we will most likely get wet and dirty!
• Use ziplock bags to waterproof items.
• Don't send anything that you consider irreplaceable.
• Clearly and boldly label all of your child's belongings.
• Strapless clothing, mini-skirts, two-piece swimsuits or t-shirts with large cut outs are not allowed.
• All shorts must be a modest length (fingertip length) and we have a NO ROLL rule.
