    What to Pray for:
    Safety

Pray for the safety of our campers, guests and staff this summer!

    Fun

Pray that our campers, guests and staff have the greatest and most fun summer of their lives!

    Spiritual Growth

Pray that our campers and guests would come to salvation in Christ and grow in maturity in Christ.

    What We Ask:
    Set The Table

Prepare your heart for camp through prayer, time in the Word, and living in community.

    Find A Timothy

Just like Paul and Timothy’s relationship in the Bible, we challenge you to find one camper or staff member that you are going to invest in. Not for a week, not for a year, but a lifelong relationship. Be praying for this person!

    Leave A Legacy

You will become a part of the parade of saints that have come through the gates of Sky Ranch to serve, to love, and to share the Gospel.

    Bible Study Outline:

Counselors will receive the curriculum during staff training and will have time to study and know it. Regardless of your position, it’s great to know what our campers will be learning so you can pray for them and tie it into your job! Until then, here is our Bible study outline for the summer.

    Day Camp FAQs

When do I find out what cabin and age group I work with?

You will find out what team you are on during staff training. Each week you will be assigned a cabin and age group as well as co-counselor.

Do I need to bring my car to camp?

No, it is not required! The majority of summer staff will have a car out at camp, but if you don’t bring one you will be able to catch rides with others.

If you bring a car, make sure you know that Sky Ranch is not responsible for damages if anything happens to it.
During Staff Training: You will leave it parked across from camp in a parking lot field we lock up each night.
During Day Camp: Parking is provided in a well-lit parking lot assigned to the dorm for guys and the dorm for girls.

What can I wear during the week?

We will provide you with a shirt to wear to work Monday-Friday. It is helpful to bring a college t-shirt to wear on Sunday afternoons and a few other times if you have any. Conservative shorts are expected to be worn every day at camp. In the evenings, other t-shirts and conservative tanks can be worn.

What is expected of me when it comes to my appearance?

Sky Ranch follows the mainstream conservative approach when it comes to physical appearance. While employed with Sky Ranch, we ask you to follow these guidelines. If you have any questions, please consult a member of the Day Camp Team. A few examples include:

    • No visible tattoos.
    • No body or facial piercings (excluding two piercings per ear for female staff)
    • Males must be cleanly shaven, or if you have a beard, there must be a distinct line.
    • No extreme hair colors, tinting, or styles.

Do you have laundry facilities on camp?

During Staff Training: There are no laundry services during the 2 weeks of Staff Training. You will have one evening you can do laundry off camp if you choose to.
During Day Camp: Your housing has laundry facilities free of charge.

What I-9 documents do I need to bring?

In order to work at Sky Ranch, you will need to bring your original, unexpired I-9 documents to Staff Training (copies will not be accepted). Please review this list to see acceptable documents. Contact Human Resources at HRDept@SkyRanch.org with any questions.

    When will I get paid?

You will be paid every two weeks on Friday.

Your summer salary includes compensation for training time and will be paid based on the dates worked (including required training). Through your Employment Forms online you can enroll in direct deposit. If you do not have a bank account for direct deposit, you will receive a pay card that works like a debit card. No printed checks will be provided.

Can my friends visit me at camp?

No visitors are allowed at the sites for the safety of the campers and to respect our site partners. Visitors are not allowed to stay the night at your dorm.

Where can I store my medications?

Since campers go home each day, you can keep your medications in your dorm room during the summer. You will not be allowed to bring medications to each site, unless you have one of your leadership hold onto it, for the safety of the campers. You may keep rescue inhalers & EpiPen on you during camp.

What is the address my friends and family can send mail to this summer?

*Please note first half staff will not arrive here until May 25 and second half staff will move out July 26*
