In order to work at Sky Ranch, you will need to bring your original, unexpired I-9 documents to Staff Training (copies will not be accepted). Please review this list to see acceptable documents. Contact Human Resources at HRDept@SkyRanch.org with any questions.

You are welcome to and encouraged to bring a car/truck to camp. There will be designated staff parking and most of the time you are at camp you will not need to drive. If you do not have a vehicle, it’s okay but it might make your days off a little tricky – so make some friends (which you will) and hopefully they’ll give you a ride! Sky Ranch is not responsible for any damage done to your vehicle while on Sky Ranch property.

You will be free to leave camp on the morning of Sunday, August 14th. We ask that no one plan to leave before that morning so we can have full closure as a staff.

Each staff person will have one full day off each week. The leadership team will create the off day schedule to ensure that all of the Operations Team’s responsibilities are covered every day. There are only a few days off during the summer where we don’t have guests on camp so two to three people have the same day off any given day, and this will change weekly.

Each staff person will be given one week of vacation during the summer. In order to keep camp running smoothly, our leadership team will help make the vacation schedule so we do not become too short-staffed at any point during the summer. Vacations will run from Sunday to Saturday. We will send a message regarding vacation requests prior to arrival. For any questions, contact Joe McRae at jmcrae@SkyRanch.org.

It’s going to be here before we know it but the two weeks of Staff Training are vital for our summer! We will work to be prepared and trained for the summer of service to the Lord and to the guests of Sky Ranch Cave Springs. You will be trained in all aspects of your job this summer so you will be ready to serve safely and effectively! During Staff Training, we will cover most of the topics in this packet more in-depth, work to get camp ready on various projects around camp, have lifeguarding class, activities training, and even worship together!

While employed with Sky Ranch, we ask you to follow these guidelines to best serve our guests this summer. If you have any questions, please consult a member of the Summer Camp Team (change to Your Manager or someone from the Summer Ministries Team). A few examples include:

• Tattoos: Must be covered.
• Piercings: Two per ear permitted (female staff only. Transparent, flat nose spaces permitted.
• Males must be cleanly shaven, or if you have a beard, there must be a distinct line.
• No extreme hair colors, tinting, or styles.

Yes, there are laundry machines located in staff housing that will be shared between staff. We will provide the detergent for you!

Not very much! You will want to have something solid for your clothes and things (like Rubbermaid containers). Space will be tight. Bring only what you need - your roommates will appreciate it!

Yes, you may utilize camp internet on your off time. You may bring your laptop or other devices to camp. We do require that you have the most updated version of virus protection software installed on your computer. Sky Ranch is not responsible for broken or stolen laptops or other electronic devices. Internet connections may be limited at times.

You will be paid every two weeks on Friday.

Your summer salary includes compensation for training time and will be paid based on the dates worked (including required training). Through your Employment Forms online you can enroll in direct deposit. If you do not have a bank account for direct deposit, you will receive a pay card that works like a debit card. No printed checks will be provided.
