Requires continued learning in the nutrition/health care field and researching the industry’s best practices.

The Construction Superintendent will support the Sky Ranch Building Committee and the Sky Ranch Board for all construction projects, major remodels and new construction, from project planning conception to building completion/occupancy.  This role includes oversight of architects, engineers and contractors, working with Staff and the Building Committee to ensure facilities at all locations align with the master plan for each location. It will coordinate and consolidate land surveys and topographical maps of all properties.  The position will represent Sky Ranch staff with appropriate communication to the Building Committee for all projects and remodels, and special projects assigned by the VP of Operations or the President/CEO.

Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller is responsible for working with the Controller on a variety of tasks including regulatory compliance, treasury management and subsidiary ledger management for Sky Ranch, Inc. and affiliates.  The position will provide accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, insure compliance with tax exemptions and function as a backup to payroll.  It will also prepare assigned journal entries, assist with the annual audit process, and document and develop policies and procedures to reduce risk of misappropriation of ministry assets and increase accuracy of financial results under direction of the Controller.  The position will check for compliance with federal and state tax regulations and will complete all the required tax filings and make any applicable payments in accordance with reporting deadlines.  It will assist with analyzing and reporting on the actual financial results, major purchases and projects, assist with the annual budget process and periodic forecast process as well as analyze profit and cash flow for potential variances from the approved budget and report summary results.

We will hire a Fellowship team for both our east Texas location in Van, TX and our southern Colorado location on the crest of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range in Westcliffe, CO at our Horn Creek camp.

Job Information

We want to invest in you so you can then invest in others.   Our one-year Fellowship provides an in-depth experience with our premier Christian camps. This program for recent college graduates provides growth in the areas of work experience, community, ministry and leadership in a Christian camp setting. The Fellows at both locations will spend nine months with their respective camp as members of our Retreats and Activities departments as well as other site specific departments as needed.  Fellows will receiving high ropes and lifeguard certifications in order to run outdoor activities.  In the summer for three months, Fellows will transition to preassigned roles at any of our five locations located in Texas, Oklahoma or Colorado.  Assignments are based on need and skill sets to accomplish our mission of serving our summer campers, families or groups.  The Fellowship program also equips individuals to effectively apply Biblical leadership principles in significant ministry opportunities.  These principles are learned through regular community and family night functions, mentor relationships, and a focus on developing specific spiritual disciplines.  Participants in our Fellowship program will be given special consideration for entering into our Master’s Program which offers the opportunity to earn a Master’s degree through Dallas Baptist University at no cost to you will serving our School Programs department at our Van, TX camp location.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:  Be a committed believer in Jesus Christ and active membership in a local church.  Must have a heart for reaching children, youth and families and be willing to commit to learning the Sky Ranch model of purposeful play and becoming more effective at serving Christ through engaging ministry.  Have a four-year undergraduate degree.  The program is a one-year commitment and is delivered in a cohort model. Must be able to live on camp in shared housing during the program.  Excellent customer service skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Able to effectively lead and work in a team environment   Highly organized with an ability to multi-task easily and give strong attention to details.  Must be able to work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive personal information.  Ability to travel to various geographic locations, including travel by car, and some overnight stays.  Ability to work a varied schedule when needed, including some overtime, nights and weekends; Normal work days are Tuesday through Sunday, hours will vary.  Requires physical agility, common to setting up events, including but not limited to: bending for items below or reaching for items above the individual; carrying equipment; stooping, and climbing step stools or ladders.
