The Guest Services Specialist supports the ministry of Sky Ranch by providing exceptional customer service and hospitality to our guests and camper families, with the goal of exceeding their expectations. The primary responsibilities include answering incoming phone calls and emails, corresponding and building relationships with our camper families, generating various reports, creating and managing camper registrations in our camper software, as well as preparing for family arrivals and departures. The Guest Services Specialist provides strong administrative support to our Summer Camp team, while also assisting in the ministry’s retail sales efforts. This position reports to the Guest Services Director for the daily administration of duties. Most duties are shared while some may be specific to a specialist.
Qualified candidates should possess the following: Be a committed believer in Jesus Christ, with active membership in a local church. Ability to work well individually and as a team member. Able to possess excellent and professional skills in verbal and written communications. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Basic understanding of business communications, generally acquired through an undergraduate degree, or a minimum of two years of business experience, preferably in a call center or camping environment. Proficient working knowledge and ability to use various office software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Basic social media and internet skills to help families/camper manage their account balances, including summer ranch bank. Ability to modify records in Database to reflect the desires of the parent, and generate reports from Database for various departments as needed. Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to seasonal summer Guest Services staff.
