The Guest Services Specialist supports the ministries of Sky Ranch by providing an excellent and safe experience for our Retreats and Camp guests, with a goal of exceeding guest expectations in the overall experience. As one of the ministry’s “front-line” positions, the Guest Services Specialist aids in processing and organizing information that enables Sky Ranch to provide excellent service to its guests. This position is also responsible to assist in the ministry’s sales and marketing efforts through outbound phone calls, personal appearances at select marketing events, and other related activities. This position reports to the Guest Services Manager for the daily administration of duties. Most duties are shared while some may be specific to a Specialist.
Qualified candidates should possess the following: Be a committed believer in Jesus Christ, with active membership in a local church. Ability to work well individually and as a team member. Able to possess excellent and professional skills in verbal and written communications. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Basic understanding of business communications, generally acquired through an undergraduate degree, or a minimum of two years of business experience, preferably in a call center or camping environment. Proficient working knowledge and ability to use various office software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Basic social media and internet skills to help families/camper manage their account balances, including summer ranch bank. Ability to modify records in Database to reflect the desires of the parent, and generate reports from Database for various departments as needed. Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to seasonal summer Guest Services staff.
